This analysis explores the complex relationship between capitalism and the erosion of worker rights, examining the historical context, the mechanisms at play, and the implications for workers in contemporary economies.


Historical Context of Worker Rights


The concept of worker rights emerged alongside the rise of industrial capitalism in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. This "race to the bottom" diminishes worker rights in developed nations as employers threaten to outsource jobs if workers demand better conditions or wages. 2. Technological Advancement: Automation and digitalization have transformed the labor market, displacing traditional jobs and changing the nature of work.
